FINAL VOTE RESULTS FOR ROLL CALL 887
Democrats in roman; Republicans in italic; Independents underlined. [Cao, (RINO-LA) the replacement for convicted felon and Democrat William Jefferson in a heavily left leaning district was the ONLY “Republican” in the ‘aye’ column after being promised a Barack Obama visit to New Orleans among other bribes to get his vote. We all know how reliable Obama’s word is. The 39 Democrats who voted against this pig were no doubt given permission to do so by Pelosi as they were probably the most likely to lose their seats in the 2010 election if they voted for this POS…ed]
Graham: House Bill “D.O.A.” in the Senate
Senator Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said the health care bill passed last night by the House of Representatives is “dead on arrival to the Senate.” Graham argued that the House bill was “written for liberals, by liberals. “Just look at how it passed; it passed 220 to 215. It passed by two votes. You had [39] Democrats vote against the bill,” Graham told “Face the Nation” host Bob Schieffer Sunday. He also admitted that if it were to come down to it, he would join his independent colleague Senator Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., in filibustering a bill including the so-called public option should it come to the Senate floor. [Graham, another RINO weenie, talks tough on Pelosi/ObamaCare going down in flames once it hits the Senate. We’ll see….ed]
Did Obama Just Convict the Suspected Fort Hood Shooter?
President Obama began his weekly Internet and radio address on Saturday with these words: “This past Thursday, on a clear Texas afternoon, an Army psychiatrist walked into the Soldier Readiness Processing Center, and began shooting his fellow soldiers.” Did the president, speaking directly about the man suspected in the killings, prejudice any jury that might be called to hear the case? At the least, he appeared to fall afoul of a lesson that every journalism student — and law student — learns early: The safest way to avoid yourself some trouble is to couch such a flat assertion of guilt. [Nice job there Mr. Ex President of the Harvard Law Review and all around smartest guy in the world. I wonder how many defense attorneys got a hard on after hearing Obama spit this one out? Or maybe the best friend the muslims ever in our White House did this ON PURPOSE!?…ed]
Fort Hood gunman had told US military colleagues that infidels should have their throats cut
Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the gunman who killed 13 at America’s Fort Hood military base, once gave a lecture to other doctors in which he said non-believers should be beheaded and have boiling oil poured down their throats. He also told colleagues at America’s top military hospital that non-Muslims were infidels condemned to hell who should be set on fire. The outburst came during an hour-long talk Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, gave on the Koran in front of dozens of other doctors at Walter Reed Army Medical Centre in Washington DC, where he worked for six years before arriving at Fort Hood in July. Colleagues had expected a discussion on a medical issue but were instead given an extremist interpretation of the Koran, which Hasan appeared to believe. [Gee, so nothing really stood out about this guy that would indicate he had a serious problem with “non believers” huh? Thank God we have the foreign press to expose this kind of stuff as we all know the politically correct lefty media in America sure as hell won’t do it…ed]
Fort Hood shooting: Texas army killer linked to September 11 terrorists
Hasan, the sole suspect in the massacre of 13 fellow US soldiers in Texas, attended the controversial Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Virginia, in 2001 at the same time as two of the September 11 terrorists, The Sunday Telegraph has learnt. His mother’s funeral was held there in May that year. The preacher at the time was Anwar al-Awlaki, an American-born Yemeni scholar who was banned from addressing a meeting in London by video link in August because he is accused of supporting attacks on British troops and backing terrorist organisations. Hasan’s eyes “lit up” when he mentioned his deep respect for al-Awlaki’s teachings, according to a fellow Muslim officer at the Fort Hood base in Texas, the scene of Thursday’s horrific shooting spree. As investigators look at Hasan’s motives and mindset, his attendance at the mosque could be an important piece of the jigsaw. Al-Awlaki moved to Dar al-Hijrah as imam in January, 2001, from the west coast, and three months later the September 11 hijackers Nawaf al-Hamzi and Hani Hanjour began attending his services. A third hijacker attended his services in California. [Hey Obama, I think I’ll go ahead and “jump to conclusions” about this guy now if that’s OK with you…ed]
Police heroine who brought down Fort Hood gunman lost half her blood after being shot
The lightly-built police heroine who is credited with halting the Fort Hood massacre almost died at the scene after losing half the blood in her body. Mother of one Sergeant Kimberley Munley confronted gunman Nidal Malik Hasan and, despite being wounded in both legs, brought him down with four shots. One of the shots cut an artery in her leg, leaving blood pumping out but she still managed to keep firing before collapsing. Medic Francisco Delaserna applied a tourniquet to Sgt Munley as she drifted in and out of consciousness because of blood loss. ‘I cut her trousers oopen, tied a tourniquet around her thigh and stopped the bleeding. But she had already lost a lot of blood,’ he said. [Amazing woman. Godspeed on her recovery from this terrible ordeal…ed]

Jihadi Denial Syndrome reaches epidemic proportions
After the 7/7 London transport bombings woke at least some people up to the phenomenon of British ‘sleeper’ Islamic terrorism – and, equally important, to the way this was continuing to be denied by the British establishment – the reaction across the pond was, to say the least, complacent. What on earth had happened to the British lion? Americans asked, scratching their heads in amazement at how a country which had once stood united in determination to fight the enemies of democracy on the beaches was now apparently indifferent to the spread of jihadi fanaticism and support for religiously inspired violence amongst its own citizens. Americans were particularly astounded that Islamists were even being recruited to serve in the British police and other parts of the establishment. The fact was, however, as I have written and said on a number of occasions, America was going in a similar direction, albeit more slowly and with a quite different demographic. [At the rate things are going in the UK the Queen will soon be forced to wear a burqa, Buckingham Palace will be converted into a mosque and sharia law will rule the land. This muslim creep garbage is quickly making its way into our country and we’ll soon be in the same boat as our cousins across the pond if we don’t start doing something about it NOW…ed]
After South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson shouted, “You lie!” as President Obama pitched health care to a joint session of Congress, even Republicans ran from their rude colleague. Two months later, however, most Americans are reaching a similar conclusion about Obama, and not just on health care. They now believe Obama was not honest about how he would govern. His campaign promises, they say, bear little resemblance to the president he is. They believed him when he said he was a moderate who would lead from the center. But a clear majority, 54 percent, now says the president is “mostly liberal” and his policies tilt left. (SNIP) One telling fact is that Obama has lost ground with every group except those who self-identify as liberal Democrats. Moderate and conservative Dems, along with independents and Republicans, are registering complaints. In that sense, it is unanimous he has turned left. That corresponds with Tuesday’s election results, where independents in New Jersey and Virginia backed Republicans by more than 2 to 1. The same group backed Obama last year. [The headline alone makes this a worthwhile read…ed]
African-Americans slam Obama in White House protest
Decrying Barack Obama as “white power in black face,” hundreds of African-Americans marched on the White House Saturday to protest policies of the first black US president, and demand that he bring US troops home. More than 200 people gathered for the first public demonstration by African Americans against the Obama administration since his historic inauguration in January, and slammed the president for continuing what they described as Washington’s “imperialist” agenda around the world. “We recognize that Barack Hussein Obama is white power in black face,” civil rights activist Omali Yeshitela, chairman of the Black is Back coalition which arranged the protest, called into a megaphone as the group marched outside the mansion’s gates. “He is a tool of our imperialist enemies and we demand our freedom. And we demand that Obama withdraw all the troops from Afghanistan right now.” [Say, how come we didn’t hear about this protest against Obama by a bunch of black folks in the lamestream media? I mean five CodePinkers used to show up to throw a hissy fit against Bush and every media outlet in the world covered the stupid event…ed]
2010 elections: Democratic fears, Republican hopes
Oh, how the tables have turned. Nervous Democrats are on defense and emboldened Republicans sense opportunity heading into 2010 and the midterm elections. It was just three years ago that the GOP lost the House and Senate as well as governors’ races in a cross-country Democratic wave. Now, with most states under their control and comfortable majorities in Congress, Democrats must protect far more seats than Republicans: 19 governors’ mansions, 17 Senate seats and as many as 60 House districts in moderate-to-conservative regions and swing-voting areas. [Now that the House has barely passed this Pelosi/ObamaCare assault against the American people expect the revolt against Democrats everywhere in this country to be historic. All the left wingers had was Obama coattails to ride on and since we now know the emperor has no clothes 2010 should be a landslide for conservatives. BTW, RINOs need not apply…ed]
California’s best years have passed, voters say
Frustrated at California’s woes, voters are sharply pessimistic about whether the next governor will be able to move the state in the right direction, and most believe California is in the midst of a long-term decline, a new Los Angeles Times/USC poll shows. Against that grim backdrop, next year’s political contests loom as potentially volatile, but Democrats start out holding the upper hand, the poll found. President Obama retains his popularity in a state that gave him a landslide victory one year ago, with 60% approving of his tenure as president. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, a Republican struggling in the last year of his term, won the support of only a third of voters. (SNIP) Asked about next year’s election for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Democrat Barbara Boxer, nearly 3 in 5 voters said they “want a senator who will mostly support” Obama’s policies. [Nearly 60% of the people in that state wanting their representatives supporting Obama’s radical left wing policies spells certain doom for California and really the rest of the nation considering the freakin’ whackjob politicians coming out of the left coast. BTW, calling Schwarzenegger a Republican is akin to calling Obama a Reagan conservative…ed]
Obama’s Shock Troops: SEIU and Political Intimidation in St. Louis
Yesterday, Pastor Himes provided powerful, and courageous, witness to the union violence he and his wife saw in St. Louis on August 6th. They provided strong testament to the union attack on Kenneth Gladney. But, his comments only dealt with the events of that day. Evidence is emerging that the events of that day went far beyond St. Louis and may have been part of a nationally orchestrated campaign to intimidate and silence dissent. (SNIP) On the morning of August 6th, Sam Stein reported at the Huffington Post that labor unions had released a comprehensive memo, detailing tactics to counter what were called “town hall protestors”. That same day, a White House official said to reporters, “If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard.” Those both happened the morning of the assault on Kenneth Gladney. Is it any surprise that on the specific day that Big Labor and the White House signaled a commitment to ‘punch back’ at the town hall protests, an innocent bystander, Kenneth Gladney, was brutally beaten? [Keep in mind Andy Stern is the most prolific “private citizen” visitor to the White Crib and this guy is a far left wing union thug of the first order. I can’t help but wonder about the details of the intimidation program put together by Obama and Stern and where the next attack will take place?…ed]
State Worker Beat Up At SEIU Meeting
A state worker is recovering after a bloody brawl at a union hall. He says members of the local SEIU 1000 beat him up and sent him to the hospital all because he wanted to expose allegedl corruption within the union. Ken Hamidi is a state worker at the California Franchise Tax Board. Last night he walked into a union hall in Sacramento for an SEIU local 1000 meeting. “We had every right to be here, very simple; it wasn’t anything private or anything exclusive,” said Hamidi. But Hamidi says the union members did not want him there. “Three, four people jumped at me, wrestled with me, then did all that,” said Hamidi. “I was covered in blood and then over to the emergency room.” [Well! I guess the next SEIU union thug assault was scheduled to be in Sacramento CA!…ed]
One has to hope that the Obama administration does not believe its own rhetoric about the supposed success of its fiscal stimulus program in generating new jobs. For while the administration assures us that the fiscal stimulus is generating new jobs according to schedule, the U.S. labor market continues to deteriorate at an alarming rate. Failure to arrest this deterioration threatens to abort the incipient economic recovery and to aggravate an already bleak labor market situation. (SNIP) Without consumption growth, the U.S. economy risks experiencing a double dip recession next year once the beneficial impact of the fiscal stimulus package fades and inventory rebuilding has run its course. Whistling in the dark at a time when real downside risks threaten the U.S. economic outlook is hardly the way to run the world’s largest economy. One has to hope that the Obama administration soon smells the coffee and seeks a mid-term correction in its economic policies before the economy experiences a double-dip recession and an already dire labor market situation becomes even worse. [Obama and the far left radicals he has hired to help him run this country into the ground are following the George Soros gameplan for demolishing the American economy perfectly. Bloodless President Barack Obama makes Americans wistful for George W Bush
During the election campaign, Barack Obama’s cool detachment was a winning quality, the “No Drama Obama” a welcome contrast with the “Mr Angry” John McCain, never mind the hot-headed “I’m the decider” President George W Bush. A year into his presidency, however, Mr Obama seems a curiously bloodless president. If he experiences passion, he seldom shows it. It is often anyone’s guess as to whether an event or issue truly moves him. (SNIP) It could do him good to show he has a bit of fire in his belly. Perhaps he might make a decision or two based on gut instinct and deep conviction. In other words, maybe he should try being a bit more like Mr Bush. [Puppets act and perform as they are directed. ‘Nuff said…ed]
Quote of the day.
Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care? All it will do is confuse and dispirit [Democrat voters] and it will encourage the extremists.
-Barack Hussein Obama, giving a little pep talk to Democrats who were wobbly about voting for the Pelosi/ObamaCare garbage. Notice his derisive tone towards Americans who have taken a stand against his radical agenda? So much for the great uniter.
