Andy Williams accuses Barack Obama of following Marxist theory
Williams, a lifelong Republican whose hits include Moon River and Music To Watch Girls By, told the Radio Times he thought Mr Obama wanted to turn the US into a “socialist country”. The 81-year-old was a friend of the Kennedy family during the 1960s and was present at the Los Angeles rally where Robert F Kennedy was assassinated in 1968. “I was very close to Bobby and he asked me to be a delegate for him when he ran for president,” he said. “He knew about me being a Republican, but just laughed and said, ‘Sign yourself in as a Democrat and then change back afterwards’. Sadly, I never got to do that. “I was very close to Teddy Kennedy, too, and his death recently brought it all back. What a tragedy. Had he lived, I think Bobby would have been a great president.” But Williams had a less favourable opinion of the current president. “Don’t like him at all,” he said, “I think he wants to create a socialist country. The people he associates with are very Left-wing. One is registered as a Communist. [When you get to a certain age and you have a true appreciation for the opportunities this country has provided and are grateful for them you quickly recognize when someone comes along hell bent on tearing your homeland apart at the seams. Secret Service Probing Obama Assassination Poll on Facebook
The U.S. Secret Service is investigating a “poll” posted on Facebook that asked users the most unsocial, unspeakable question: Should President Obama be assassinated? Edwin Donovan, a spokesman for the Secret Service, said the agency will take “appropriate investigative steps” in connection to the survey, which was posted on Saturday and was quickly removed when Facebook employees were alerted to its existence. (SNIP) Bob Beckel, a Democratic Party strategist and FOX News contributor, said the individual responsible for the poll should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. “This is the kind of garbage that’s generated from the extreme right against Obama, and it’s going way over the line,” Beckel told FOXNews.com. “It’s got to be stopped. Find him, prosecute him and put him in jail.” [There is little doubt that some left wing moonbat pulled this stunt specifically to give liberal loons like Bob Beckel some phony ammo to rail against conservatives. This filthy gutless trick is straight out of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals”…ed]
Democratic Underground Posts Racist Comments on GOP Candidate
There they go again. Isaac Hayes (no, not that one, who, alas, has left us) is running for Congress in Chicago. Mr. Hayes is actually the Rev. Isaac Hayes, and you can learn more about him from his website. So a man runs for Congress, what’s the big deal? The big deal is the reaction to Rev. Hayes’ announcement from Democrats. Rev. Hayes, you see, is not just a Republican. No, no. Bad as that may be, Rev. Hayes is…gasp!…a black man! Yes! A black man, a Republican who is black! On top of which he has the audacity to challenge Illinois Congressman Jesse Jackson. So what’s the big deal? Well, in the ongoing discussion of how Democrats race pimp on a perpetual basis, you have but to check in over with the Democratic Underground. [The left wing kooks pounce on the black Republican for wandering off the plantation. Typical behavior for the real racists in this country…ed]
Palin finishes memoir, ‘Going Rogue,’ out Nov. 17
That was fast. Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate, has finished her memoir just four months after the book deal was announced, and the release date has been moved up from the spring to Nov. 17, her publisher said. “Governor Palin has been unbelievably conscientious and hands-on at every stage, investing herself deeply and passionately in this project,” said Jonathan Burnham, publisher of Harper. “It’s her words, her life, and it’s all there in full and fascinating detail.” [Unlike Øbama who’s books were more likely really written by the domestic terrorist Bill Ayers who B. Hussein claimed he hardly knew, Palin sat down and did her own work and got the job done in record time. Good for her…ed]
IRS scam now world’s biggest e-mail virus problem
Criminals are waging a nasty online campaign right now, hoping that their victims’ fears of the tax collecter will lead them to inadvertently install malicious software. The spam campaign, entering its third week now, is showing no signs of slowing down, according to Gary Warner, director of research in computer forensics with the University of Alabama at Birmingham. This one campaign accounts for about 10 percent of the spam e-mail that his group is presently tracking, he said. “This is the most prominent spam-delivered virus in the world right now,” he said. Passenger removed after going to restroom
Officials say there is no threat aboard a United Airlines aircraft that was cleared of passengers in Los Angeles after a man ran to the restroom just before takeoff. Los Angeles International Airport police say the passenger defied a flight attendant’s order to remain seated because he urgently needed to use the restroom. Mothers of 2 Fenger suspects react
Two South Side mothers on Monday confronted the brutal violence their sons are accused of as formal charges against the teens were filed and images of them allegedly beating and stomping to death another teenager made national news. One tearfully said she could not bear to look at the video. The other regretfully acknowledged it was her son on the video depicting the fatal beating of Fenger High School student Derrion Albert, 16. “That’s Gene. That’s my son. I’m not going to lie about that,” said Sherry Smith, the mother of Eugene Riley, 18, one of four teens charged in the attack. “I do give my condolences to that family because (their) child shouldn’t have lost his life over this.” [This outta really help Chicago’s 2016 Olympic bid. Surely a bunch of black kids beating to death their own schoolmate and neighbor must be whitey’s fault because we all know they’re “really good kids” who just got a little excited and momentarily out of hand. Actually I think the video (unfortunately the gutless media refuses to show an unedited version of this rabid animal attack) speaks for itself…ed]
Accomplices in NYC Terror Plot Known
After interrupting what they believed was a terrorist plot on New York City with a series of raids and arrests, authorities have intensified their focus on possible accomplices of the suspected Al Qaeda associate at the heart of the case, a law enforcement official said Monday. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation continues, confirmed that investigators know the identities of at least three people believed to be in on a bombing plot they say might have targeted mass transit in the New York area. Sooner or later it is going to occur to Barack Obama that he is the president of the United States. As of yet, though, he does not act that way, appearing promiscuously on television and granting interviews like the presidential candidate he no longer is. The election has been held, but the campaign goes on and on. The candidate has yet to become commander in chief. Take last week’s Group of 20 meeting in Pittsburgh. There, the candidate-in-full commandeered the television networks and the leaders of Britain and France to give the Iranians a dramatic warning. Yet another of their secret nuclear facilities had been revealed and Obama, as anyone could see, was determined to do something about it — just don’t ask what. [Conservatives warned this guy was an inexperienced clueless nitwit from day one but too many guilt ridden white liberals only saw the color of his skin and we are now faced with some of the most dangerous times this country has seen in years. The contempt with which the president of France regards the president of the United States was displayed in public last week. Nicolas Sarkozy was furious with Barack Obama for his adolescent warbling about a world without nuclear weapons at a meeting Mr. Obama chaired of the United Nations Security Council last Thursday (9/24). (SNIP) ‘President Obama dreams of a world without weapons…but right in front of us two countries are doing the exact opposite,” Mr. Sarkozy said. “Iran since 2005 has flouted five Security Council resolutions,” Mr. Sarkozy said. “North Korea has been defying Council resolutions since 1993.” [Unfortunately world “leaders” were so enamored with Øbama’s blackness and hard left political disposition they failed to take a critical and discerning look at his knowledge of how things really work in this dangerous world we all live in. Former Bill Clinton aide Stacy Parker Aab claims ex-president got touchy-feely with her
Monica Lewinsky may not always have been the intern most likely to succeed when it came to catching Bubba’s wandering eye in the White House. So says former political staffer Stacy Parker Aab, who claims she had her own close call, sexually, with the President in the new HarperCollins book “Government Girl: Young and Female in the White House,” slated for a January release. [What a shocking story, Bill Clinton trying to get five fingers up some young gal’s skirt. Democrats ‘false’ friends to gays
As a center-right gay writer and thinker, I have long been an apostate among my fellows for maintaining that the Democratic Party cares about gays and lesbians only as a bloc of votes, not as individual human beings. Recent history has vindicated my position. Attorney General Eric Holder recently filed a brief reinforcing the federal government’s support for the Clinton-era Defense of Marriage Act and Defense Secretary Robert Gates has made it more than clear that the Clinton-era’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy will not be abandoned any time soon. Remarkably, there is discussion within the Pentagon about exempting from the policy those service members who have been “outed” by people other than themselves, often after a love affair gone bad. This cynical policy literally toys with people’s lives and emotions. [The Democrats are also ‘false’ friends to blacks and hispanics but for some reason these folks haven’t been able to figure that out yet…ed]
Elderly moving against ObamaCare
America’s elderly are finally realizing that Obama’s healthcare changes are largely financed by cuts in Medicare and are rallying against his proposals in increasing numbers. The latest poll by Scott Rasmussen not only shows national opposition to Obamacare rising — now it is 41-56 against — but also shows the elderly moving against it even more strongly, by 33-59, or almost 2:1. And well they should! Three-quarters of ObamaCare is to be financed by slashing $500 billion from Medicare over the next 10 years. Rally in Albany Tuesday Over H1N1 Flu Shot Debate
Hundreds of health care workers will rally in Albany Tuesday, angry that they are being made to receive H1N1 flu shots. The State Health Department has made it mandatory that all health care workers get immunized by November 30th. The protestors say their rights are being violated and that they can not be forced to get a H1N1 flu shot. Officials say there will be exceptions for those health care workers who have a personal health issue that would prevent them from getting the shot. Are We Witnessing the Collapse of Liberalism?
Less than a year into his presidency, Barack Obama’s world grows bleaker. Liberalism’s world is bleaker. At home and abroad, liberalism, as advanced by the President, is failing. Are we witnessing the beginnings of another historic event, loosely comparable to the fall of communism twenty years ago? Now the fall of liberalism? Remember, at the beginning of the 1980s, no one would have predicted that by the decade’s close the Berlin Wall would fall, communism would be discredited and the Soviet Union would be less than a couple of years away from dissolution. Porn surfing rampant at U.S. science foundation
Employee misconduct investigations, often involving workers accessing pornography from their government computers, grew sixfold last year inside the taxpayer-funded foundation that doles out billions of dollars of scientific research grants, according to budget documents and other records obtained by The Washington Times. The problems at the National Science Foundation (NSF) were so pervasive they swamped the agency’s inspector general and forced the internal watchdog to cut back on its primary mission of investigating grant fraud and recovering misspent tax dollars. New Jersey, New York and California Have Worst Tax Climates for Business, Tax Foundation Says
A new study from the non-partisan Tax Foundation shows that New Jersey, New York, and California respectively are the states whose tax structure is the worst for business, a factor the foundation says drives businesses to other, more business-friendly states.
Released last week, the report ranks states based on how “business-friendly” their tax systems are, ranking them based on five different aspects of their tax systems: corporate, individual income, sales, unemployment insurance and property taxes. NYT: Modest Lefty Pittsburgh Protest Comparable to Huge Conservative Protest in D.C.
Ian Urbina’s Saturday New York Times story from the Group of 20 economic meeting in Pittsburgh last weeked, about left-wing and anarchist protesters who took to the streets, came under a headline that misleadingly implied peace abided: “In Pittsburgh, Thousands Stage a Peaceful March for Multiple Causes.” Yet in paragraph four we learned there were 66 arrests in downtown Pittsburgh, and “about 19 businesses sustained broken windows or other damage.” And while the Times was loathe to estimate the crowd size of the enormous September 12 anti-Obama protest in Washington, the Times forwarded estimates from “observers” at the lefty Pittsburgh protest who “put the crowd…at 3,000 to 4,000.” While the peaceful September 12 crowd was tarred in the Times as “angry” and “profane” with “no shortage of vitriol,” Urbina downplayed the actual violence and vandalism committed by a far smaller band of anarchists in downtown Pittsburgh. A headline reader could assume that the September 12 conservative protest in Washington and the anarchist protest in Pittsburgh were of the same magnitude, as both used the term “thousands” to describe the crowd size. 61% of Arizona Republicans Say McCain Out of Touch With Party Base
Arizona Senator John McCain was the Republican Party’s presidential nominee in 2008, but he’s always had a challenging relationship with the GOP’s base voters. A new Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey finds that 61% of Arizona Republicans think McCain has lost touch with those in his own party. That’s up eleven points from 50% in May. Only 33% of the Republican faithful in the state believe McCain has done a good job representing GOP values. [Had McCain not finished second to the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy maybe he would have been a little better at flying his jet over Vietnam, wouldn’t have been shot down and captured by the enemy, wouldn’t have spent five and a half years in a prison camp and we wouldn’t have had him as a lame ass candidate for president last year…ed]
Are America’s Winds Taking a Breather?
It’s easy to take the wind for granted. We count on it for all kinds of things, like propelling sailboats, turning giant power-producing turbine blades and keeping kites aloft. But what if the wind doesn’t blow as hard as it used to? That possibility presents itself in a new, cautiously worded report suggesting that wind speeds may have been declining in the Midwest and northeastern states since the 1970s by 0.5 to 1 percent a year. U.S. Northeast May Have Coldest Winter in a Decade
The U.S. Northeast may have the coldest winter in a decade because of a weak El Nino, a warming current in the Pacific Ocean, according to Matt Rogers, a forecaster at Commodity Weather Group. “Weak El Ninos are notorious for cold and snowy weather on the Eastern seaboard,” Rogers said in a Bloomberg Television interview from Washington. “About 70 percent to 75 percent of the time a weak El Nino will deliver the goods in terms of above-normal heating demand and cold weather.
