U.S. Commander of Afghanistan only talked to Obama once
The military general credited for capturing Saddam Hussein and killing the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq says he has only spoken to President Obama once since taking command of Afghanistan. “I’ve talked to the president, since I’ve been here, once on a VTC ,” General Stanley McChrystal told CBS reporter David Martin in a television interview that aired Sunday. “You’ve talked to him once in 70 days?” Mr. Martin followed up. “That is correct,” the general replied. [Øbama’s directives were to bring our country to its knees economically which he has accomplished with amazing speed and now he will move on to decimating and humiliating our military in front of the world in Afghanistan with ridiculous rules of engagement and refusing to authorize the necessary troop levels to get the job done. Speaking to the commander of the forces on the ground only once in 70 days reinforces how he really feels about our men and woman serving in the military…ed]
The unemployment rate for young Americans has exploded to 52.2 percent — a post-World War II high, according to the Labor Dept. — meaning millions of Americans are staring at the likelihood that their lifetime earning potential will be diminished and, combined with the predicted slow economic recovery, their transition into productive members of society could be put on hold for an extended period of time. And worse, without a clear economic recovery plan aimed at creating entry-level jobs, the odds of many of these young adults — aged 16 to 24, excluding students — getting a job and moving out of their parents’ houses are long. Young workers have been among the hardest hit during the current recession — in which a total of 9.5 million jobs have been lost. [The only jobs being “created” by Øbama are federal government positions and of course “people of color” will have priority for those lifelong-can-never-be-fired employment opportunities. This fraud could care less about the private sector which has traditionally provided the vast majority of the jobs Americans depend on to pay their bills…ed]
Obama to Denmark to Pitch for Olympics
A senior White House adviser says President Barack Obama has decided to travel to Copenhagen to lead the U.S. appeal for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Chicago. Valerie Jarrett told The Associated Press Monday morning that the president will leave Thursday and will join his wife, Michelle, and others in his administration, in making the pitch. Obama would be the first U.S. president to take on such a direct role in lobbying for an Olympics event. [Imagine the howling from the left wing media and “news” shows if Bush had traveled overseas to push for the Olympics to be held in Texas in the midst of this rotten economy and the clusterphuck going on in Afghanistan…ed]

The Chicago Olympic Committee told FOX Chicago that its broadcast “would harm Chicago’s chances” to be awarded the games. The station’s news director ordered staff to hold fire after the report aired once last Thursday morning, claims a source. New website can’t track paths of federal stimulus grants
The goal was to build a reporting system that allows the public to follow the zigzagging paths of dollars awarded under the $787 billion federal stimulus package. A financial GPS of sorts. But despite federal lawmakers’ pledge of transparency, the final stages of most money trails, along with key information about job impacts, will remain invisible to users of the Recovery.org website when it debuts next month. Only details of a stimulus grant’s passage through its first two stops after it leaves the federal government must be reported, according to guidance memos from the White House Office of Management and Budget. That means billions of dollars will be untrackable and thousands of recipients will be left unidentified through the database, officials acknowledge. Bank Pulls Back From Acorn Work
Already facing the loss of federal government funding, the community-organizing group Acorn also has run afoul of one of its big corporate partners, Bank of America Corp. In response to questions from The Wall Street Journal, a spokesman for the banking company said it has “suspended current commitments” to Acorn Housing, an affiliated group, and “will not enter into any further agreements with Acorn or any of its affiliates,” pending assessments by the bank of the organization’s operations. Acorn, officially the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, has been under fire since the recent release of secretly recorded videos that showed Acorn employees offering advice on evading taxes, setting up brothels and smuggling illegal immigrants. [The American flag hating Bank of American cuts off it’s relationship with the America hating ACORN. Grab a chair and a bag of popcorn, this ACORN mess just might get interesting…ed]

You Mislead! Fact-checking Obama.
It is a good thing that other congressmen did not follow Rep. Joe Wilson’s lead. If they yelled out every time President Obama said something untrue about health care, they would quickly find themselves growing hoarse. By our count, the president made more than 20 inaccurate claims in his speech to Congress. We have excluded several comments that are deeply misleading but not outright false. (For example: Obama pledged not to tap the Medicare trust fund to pay for reform. But there is no money in that “trust fund,” anyway, so the pledge is meaningless.) Even so, we may have missed one or more false statements by the president. Our failure to include one of his comments in the following list should not be taken to constitute an endorsement of its accuracy, let alone wisdom. Health ‘Reform’ Is Income Redistribution
While many Americans are upset by ObamaCare’s $1 trillion price tag, Congress is contemplating other changes with little analysis or debate. These changes would create a massively unfair form of income redistribution and create incentives for many not to buy health insurance at all. Let’s start with basics: Insurance protects against the risk of something bad happening. When your house is on fire you no longer need protection against risk. You need a fireman and cash to rebuild your home. But suppose the government requires insurers to sell you fire “insurance” while your house is on fire and says you can pay the same premium as people whose houses are not on fire. The result would be that few homeowners would buy insurance until their houses were on fire. [January 21, 2009 was the beginning of the end for the chronologically challenged citizens in this country. The leftists running the show have declared you folks have had enough of a good life and are expendable for the sake of the younger people who are more easily manipulated and much more likely to vote Democrat…ed]
The more we inspect Max Baucus’s health-care bill, the worse it looks. Today’s howler: One reason it allegedly “pays for itself” over 10 years is because it would break all 50 state budgets by permanently expanding Medicaid, the joint state-federal program for the poor. Democrats want to use Medicaid to cover everyone up to at least 133% of the federal poverty level, or about $30,000 for a family of four. Starting in 2014, Mr. Baucus plans to spend $287 billion through 2019—or about one-third of ObamaCare’s total spending—to add some 11 million new people to the Medicaid rolls. [Øbama says he won’t raise our taxes but he didn’t say anything about the states having to raise them through the roof to pay for unfunded federal government mandates…ed]
Liberals seek health-care access for illegals
Fearful that they’re losing ground on immigration and health care, a group of House Democrats is pushing back and arguing that any health care bill should extend to all legal immigrants and allow illegal immigrants some access. The Democrats, trying to stiffen their party’s spines on the contentious issue, say it’s unfair to bar illegal immigrants from paying their own way in a government-sponsored exchange. Al-Qaida No. 2 calls Obama a ‘fraud’
Al-Qaida’s deputy leader on Monday seized upon President Barack Obama’s failure to bring about a freeze in Israeli settlement construction in the West Bank and called him a “fraud” in a new audio message. Ayman al-Zawahri’s 28-minute audio message was mainly a eulogy for slain Pakistani Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud, but he also took the opportunity to slam NATO member states operating in Afghanistan, including Germany, which he criticized for keeping troops there. [Damn, now we have Øbama’s buddies calling him a fraud. This guy seems to be pissing everyone off these days…ed]

The Jordanian teenager who the authorities say plotted to blow up a Dallas skyscraper was always kind to Ashley Deloach. He often drove the single mother to the grocery store and lent her money when she did not have enough to feed her two children. He gave her a cellphone when hers broke. He rid her bungalow of ants. He even got her a job as a cashier six months ago and rose at 5 a.m. every day for several weeks to drive her to work. According to the criminal complaint filed in the case, an agent posing as a senior member of a Qaeda sleeper cell befriended him, and he responded to the call. He pledged allegiance to Osama bin Laden, saying “I love him as I love my father,” expressed anger over the invasion of Gaza by the Israelis and vowed he was “ready for the jihadi life,” the complaint said. “We shall attack them in their very own homes,” he wrote on March 29, speaking about Americans. “Brother, by God, we shall attack them in a manner that hurts, an attack that shakes the world.” [How about the New York Times trying to paint some muslim asshat, who carried through with his plan to blow up a Dallas office building, as some kind of swell guy and tell us all about his dope smoking underage drinking buddies who think he was just a terrific fellow incapable of killing hundreds of productive taxpaying Americans…ed]
ACORN’s Man in the White House
Newly discovered evidence shows the radical advocacy group ACORN has a man in the Obama White House. This power behind the throne is longtime ACORN operative Patrick Gaspard. He holds the title of White House political affairs director, the same title Karl Rove held in President Bush’s White House. Evidence shows that years before he joined the Obama administration, Gaspard was ACORN boss Bertha Lewis’s political director in New York. Lewis, the current “chief organizer” or CEO of ACORN, was head of New York ACORN from at least 1994 through 2008, when she took over as national leader of ACORN. With Gaspard at work in the White House, Lewis might as well be speaking to President Obama through an earpiece as he goes about his daily business ruining the country. New Cheney Taking Stage for the G.O.P.
Liz Cheney looks nothing like her father, but it is clear who he is. She was introduced as “our favorite vice president’s daughter” at a recent gathering of conservative women here. She kept invoking him in her speech, conveying his best regards, and likes to share cute stories about Dad trying to master his new BlackBerry. Like her father, Ms. Cheney speaks in understated, almost academic cadences, head veering down into her notes. She also shares his willingness to pummel President Obama in stark, disdainful tones, not so much criticizing as taunting him. Democrats try to pack the courts
Democrats aren’t satisfied with the one-party state in which they control Congress and the White House and can politicize the Justice Department and take over the banking and automotive industries. Now liberal Democrats are pushing a court-packing scheme as well. A subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing Wednesday on the proposed Federal Judgeship Act of 2009 (S. 1653), which would create positions for 63 new federal judges – 51 in federal district courts and 12 in appeals courts. This proposal is nothing less than a sneaky equivalent of what President Franklin D. Roosevelt tried with his infamous court-packing power grab on the Supreme Court in 1937. The only slight difference is that this attempt is more under the radar. [Once the liberals pack the courts with like minded judges it won’t matter who’s in the White House or controls Congress in the future. Too bad the idiotic Republicans were too busy trying to get along with the Democrats instead of appointing judges who understood the Constitution when they owned 1600 Pennsylvania and Capitol Hill…ed]
Stop Allowing The Left To Set The Rules
I am so sick of the Left being allowed to make the rules. Imagine the absurdity of a competition in which one side is allowed to set the rules against their opponent. The Left tells us what is racist. The Left tells us what we can and cannot say. The Left published a cartoon depicting former black Secretary of State Condolezza Rice as an Aunt Jemima; another depicted Rice as a huge-lipped parrot for her Massa Bush. Neither were considered racist by their creators or publishers, or even widely condemned on the Left. [While it may be a little known fact, all of October is “Kick A Liberal In The Ass” month. Wabash Valley woman didn’t realize second cold medicine purchase violated drug laws
When Sally Harpold bought cold medicine for her family back in March, she never dreamed that four months later she would end up in handcuffs. (SNIP) Harpold is a grandmother of triplets who bought one box of Zyrtec-D cold medicine for her husband at a Rockville pharmacy. Less than seven days later, she bought a box of Mucinex-D cold medicine for her adult daughter at a Clinton pharmacy, thereby purchasing 3.6 grams total of pseudoephedrine in a week’s time. Those two purchases put her in violation of Indiana law 35-48-4-14.7, which restricts the sale of ephedrine and pseudoephedrine, or PSE, products to no more than 3.0 grams within any seven-day period. [Time for a little common sense here folks or what?…ed]
